Depending on the atomic density of the substances, the sorting process is made by taking advantage of the differences in the coefficients of absorption of X rays. Different substances with different atomic densities pass X-rays at different degrees. This allows the sorting between substances.
Raw coal material is passed through the tunnel where X-Ray scanning is performed. Image processing technology is applied to the scanned objects using special software. Objects in processed images have organic and inorganic percentages and after determining the product or waste according to these values, it is decided whether or not to separate from the flow by compressed air.
